Almost One!

Happily waiting while Big Sis gets a hair cut
This little boo is almost one, or so says the dreaded birthday ticker at the bottom of my blog. Usually, I am a teary eyed mess as one of my baby's birthdays approach, but this time is different. In light of everything going on around us, I am rejoicing over her life, health, and the length of days we've been given together! Praise God! Anabelle is a happy, chatty, busy, hungry, bouncy, blessing of a baby girl! Deep voice, blue eyes, strawberry blond hair, clammy feet, crusty nose, sweet kisses, big hugs - I love every teeny tiny pound! God has called us (even Annie) to live on this Earth, suffering and all, for His own glory! While I pray that her days will be many and that her hurts will be few, I pray even more that she will never know a day when she does not see the face of her Father. With this prayer in my heart, I embrace the coming of her 1st birthday, thank you Lord God for our Anabelle!
Just a Reminder:
Q: Why did God make you and all things?
A: For His own glory.
I Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
(Question #3 from the Westminster Confession of Faith Catechism for Children, CMI 3rd Edition 2001)

This post made me cry. Sweet Annie. I am so thankful for her, too!! Can't wait to celebrate with you guys.

PS: Owen can answer "God" to the first catechism question and has been able to since about 11 months! Maybe Annie can answer this one! :)

I am thanking God for the precious little girls that He has given to you and Ben and US!!!! Evie never ceases to amaze me in her thought processes and how she is so verbal in saying what her little mind is thinking.... Can't wait for the day that Anabelle will be talking her thoughts to me also. Hard to believe that she is going to be 1 soon. We brought a couple of little things for the girls from Alaska--hope to get them to them soon. Love, Mama k
