Back to Productivity

Busy Weekend! Busy dad, busy mom - just draggin' the kids along for the "fun"! Whew! We have projects and deadlines of all sorts at our house right now, so much that we actually jump started the weekend on Thursday. Ben spent the day using strong chemicals to finish stripping the concrete kitchen floor, so I loaded up the girls for a day of household and Sniglets errands (Walmart, Tuesday Morning, and Hobby Lobby - my new love). Then Saturday was floor stripping and errands day part 2. I'm soooo happy to report that after tons of help from our parents and our friends that the floor is now officially stripped!!! Next on our kitchen to do list: stain, seal, paint, lighting, quarter round, window treatment, hang art, buy new chairs! I've reached the realization that everything will not be done in time for Annie's birthday (our original deadline) so I'm now setting my sights towards the beginning of December. I am overjoyed at everything that has been completed lately: my dad refinished our dinning table (beautiful!), my mom repainted the front rooms in the house and hung artwork (also beautiful!), I made over a thrift store lamp, I organized the girl's closet, and I tackled a little of my Sniglets pile! Whew- thank you Lord for the day of rest! I have a "few" more Sniglets goals to meet this week: 7 paci clip orders, a pile of Fall and Christmas shirts (12!), and a couple of custom orders - anyone want a part time job (wink)? For my own children, I want to make time to finish this project...
... make Anabelle's birthday hat, and finish all of the birthday party decorations (that I decided to make myself) - do you think I can do it? Atleast I feel like we've had a lot of fun in the midst of our busy world, I do some of my best work under pressure. When I organized Ev and Ann's closet, I discovered that those two own an obscene amount of adorable clothes, and thus decided that I will have to get them dressed to the nines for every outing in order for them to get enough use out of all of it! Above are some pictures from our dinner at LaNopolera on Thursday night with Nina, Pappy, Nana, and Papa Joe. The girls were exhausted from the day's errands, but were dressed to kill in their cute jaguar print dresses that I got for trips to the zoo and football season (go Jags!) Aren't they too stinkin' sassy?!!! I hope to do a couple of posts this week on our projects , along with some Sniglets updates, so check in from time to time. Real quick, I just want to say thanks to my mom, my dad, Ben's mom, and our friend Chad for all of the help they've given us lately - love ya'll!
