Another sappy little girlie story...The other day I was busy, in a tissy, trying to get our whole family out the door. It's never an easy thing to do. I was running around like crazy, saying stuff like "Let's worry about that later", "Where's your cup", "We need to find a paci", "Get your shoes", "No not those shoes", etc. etc. etc. Really just going crazy. Right before I was about to loose it, I heard this little intimidated voice say... "Mom, I need to hold you," (what's with the always needing to "hold you" thing? Right?). So I took a deep breath, tried to talk myself into being patient, and picked up Evie. I'm thinking "Ok, a 5 second hug ought to do, maybe 10". I noticed that the Christmas music was still on - one more thing I needed to do before we could finally leave. I felt Ev's little body swaying and I realized she had decided we were dancing. I tried to relax, after all this was pretty cute. Then, with two fingers in her mouth and her other hand on my cheek she very dreamily said, "So... this is us."
Evie, thank you for loving me even when I act crazy.

OH MY GOSH! I love this story, and I LOVE that little girl! I miss her, and I love seeing who is as a little person growing into her personality!
THAT MADE ME CRY!! I love her, too!!
She is SO sweet---I love that little one and I feel the bond growing with Anabelle, too. No wonder Jesus said that we must come as a little child..
