There's Something about Mary(Claire)

There is something about our sweet baby Mary.  Maybe it's her big ol' noggin, or the way her little hips wiggle back and forth when she walks, or maybe it's her funny toothy laugh, or the way she tries to sing along to songs.  MaryClaire is about to be 18 months old, and she is such a joy!  I feel so blessed to be her mommy.
2013 has been nothing short of a tough year so far for our family.  Ben spent some time in the hospital a few months ago for a (serious) exercise induced illness, and then two weeks ago he left us to train with the United States Air Force (Reserves) for the next five months.  I've been (and am being) tested and challenged as a wife and mother like never before.
I'm so thankful to have all three of my girls in my life as a source of love, purpose, laughter, hope, and unity at this hard time in our family's life.  MaryClaire often serves our family as comic relief, and for that I am so grateful!
I'm thankful that God prompted my sweet husband to ask for a third baby, and I'm so glad that sending Mary as a sweetener for trying times was included in His perfect plan!

I'm glad she's here also and not just because I'm her grandmother. All 3 provide their own special type of comic relief. On Sunday afternoon I was showing Evie the grandmother ring I had bought for the special event of being a grandmother for the 1st time, (and explaining she had provided that title to me).She was trying on the ring and admiring it when Annie wanted to hold it also. Evie was thinking that might not be a good idea, but I encouraged her to hand it to Annie so she could be included also---the 1st thing she did was stick it up her nose!!! ;)
With kids, you never know... MamaK
