More Prayers...

I'm sure many of you have already heard about what happened in the Whitelaw family today, it's a horrible addition to our community's recent string of heart breaking tragedies. This morning, both Whitelaw children (Kevin and Katie) were killed by their father, who then killed himself. Mrs. Whitelaw is one of the secretaries at the Episcopal day school where Evie takes afternoon dance classes (her daughter Katie was enrolled there as an elementary student). I really do not know this family, except for that we wave at Mrs. Whitelaw once a week on our way into dance. Many of our friends are close with this family though, and are deeply grieving tonight. Our own church has been closely connected to this Episcopal church and school for decades, and therefore many members from both congregations are closely intertwined. Please lift up Mrs. Whitelaw in prayer, I cannot begin to imagine the depth of her grief - I just can't.
