To Georgia to Ride a Little Train!

Last Friday afternoon, we loaded up the car and drove our babies to Georgia. Why? For no other reason than to spend a fun weekend with my cousin, her sweet kiddos, and a magical little engine named Thomas! As you can see, all the kids absolutely hated it, and it was a miserable event for everyone ;) Just kidding. The weather was perfectly cool and the train ride was hilariously fun! Even Anabelle, who generally takes life very seriously, loosened up and enjoyed the day. The little train ride was really great, the trip went through some lovely woods and across a little river. The sunlight shining through the trees was that perfect autumn shade of gold - delightful! I can't speak for the other 2 adults, but I felt like one of the kids myself. I love days like that!
Another highlight of the weekend was a trip to a kid's boutique (if you visit one of the true southern states, you must make a point of boutique-ing!) I bought several GIANT hair bows for Evie, the giggle worthy size that you can't find in Northern Florida (the bottom edge of the "real south"). I love to visit Georgia for this very reason, I LOVE southern American history and culture! The whole drive up, my mind was busy daydreaming - lost in history. Good times.
It was also great to spend time with my cousin Katie, she and I are practically sisters and I always miss her so much! Many of you have asked me recently about how she and baby Henry are doing, please continue to pray for both of them and the whole family. It's just really hard to wait with uncertainty.
Last weekend was a total success and we all greatly enjoyed ourselves! It was a bit of a bummer to come back to record heat at home, so say a little prayer for cool Halloween temps this weekend!

What a great picture of Ben and Anabelle! So fun! Where is this train?? Is it there permanently or just for a limited time?? I wanna go!

It's called "A Day Out with Thomas" and it tours the country. I heard it has gone to Mt. Dora before, but I just checked the web page and it looks like it's not going there this year. Here is the site for future reference though...
