"He is before ALL things, and in Him ALL things hold together." Colossians 1:17
Since Monday afternoon, our community has searched and SEARCHED for one of its little girls, 7 year old Somer. Somer disappeared during her walk home from school, leaving no trace behind. This afternoon, a little girl's body was found in a Folkston landfill, in an area where our community's trash was dumped. We can all only assume it's little Somer. Our hearts go out to her family. Friends of Somer have asked that we all display and wear purple ribbons (her favorite color) in her honor. Purple is popping up all over our town. All of this happened very near our own home, on a street that I drive nearly everyday. I pray that God will comfort Somer's mother, her twin brother, and her sister. Will you please pray for them too?!!!

I can only imagine what the family is going thru.....What is really, really disturbing is the fact that 56 sex predators live within a 3 mile radius. Today when I heard they were expanding the area to 5 miles and that included 90 something sex predators, I almost got sick to my stomach. This world NEEDS Jesus and they don't even know it. These are difficult days we are living in..My hope will always be in Jesus. I will continue to pray for this broken family. MLK
Do keep in mind that "90 something" includes more offenders than predators. An offender can be anyone over 18 who did anything (even consensual) with someone under 18. That number 90 does not necessarily represent 90 people who have a history of targeting and victimizing people. But yes, we do live in a fallen world, and have ever since Adam and Eve. There is nothing new under the sun. We all need Jesus - yes we do!
Sweet verse, one my heart needed to read tonight.
My first thought when I saw the news yesterday was how close your sweet family lives. I am praying.
It has been on my mind all week and I am so saddened by it!! Soooo extremely close to my parent's house. It would crush me if that happened to my family, I can't even imagine.
