"Girlyfying" A Baby Hat

From this little plain white hat... ... to this little girly white hat with yellow flowers

Here is one of my recent "couch crafts" that I promised to share. I bought a sweet unisex onesie, when I first found out that I was pregnant, from a French company called Petit Bateau. Once I knew I was expecting an Anabelle, I needed to add a girly accessory to complete her "wear home from the hospital" outfit (a family tradition, Evie wore a blue Petit Bateau onesie when she left NICU - with a pink hat!) Thanks to some help from Creative Needle magazine, I learned how to make these simple crochet flowers with pearl bead centers. The result was, I think, a perfect way to add some "girl" to a little yellow and white outfit. Now all I need is my baby!
